The point of this video is not to call out the people who did this but to justify why our damage deposit is so high. This is our personal camper. Bought it brand new last year. This camper is sanitized, cleaned, stocked, and perfect every single time it goes out. We can handle the aftermath of large families with kids. We have kids too, but this is borderline vandalism. This is by far the worst we've received one of our campers back out of all the 70 or so bookings we've had to date. The next time someone wants to negotiate the damage deposit, I'm just going to refer them to this video. We provide plenty of cleaning products and garbage bags. It's very difficult to believe all this was accidental. These people literally sat and waited while my wife, who has a full-time job and raises 2 kids, hand wipe this entire camper with disinfecting wipes, including the floor. We literally take our shoes off everytime we enter any our campers. We also try to be as accommodating as possible by stocking things one might forget, like bath towels, washcloths, dish towels, extra fleece blankets, wine tumblers, cups...all gone. The level of disrespect is amazing to us. When my wife got home from work and saw our camper, she just started crying. Every renter teaches me something new and I definitely learned what I need to do moving forward from this situation. I'm very thankful they didn't burn it down. We have lots of great family memories in our second home, and I know many other families that do as well, and to see it abused like this just breaks our hearts. Thank God this camper wasn't going out the same day like it was for these people. I would have had to cancel someone's family vacation.
